For adults and children 2 years and over, apply a thick layer of the product on the chest and throat or on the sore, aching muscles. If desired, cover the area with a warm, dry cloth. Keep the clothing loose around the throat and chest to allow the vapors to reach the nose and mouth. Repeat this process up to three times per 24-hour period or as directed by a doctor.

When using this product, do not heat, microwave, or add it to hot water, as this may cause splattering and result in burns. Avoid contact with the eyes.

Consult a doctor before using this product if you have a cough that persists or is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus), or if you have a chronic cough related to conditions such as smoking, asthma, or emphysema.

Discontinue use and consult a doctor if muscle aches and pains persist for more than 7 days or recur, or if the cough lasts for more than 7 days, returns, or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a more serious condition.
